inHealth is one of the most clinically rigorous behavioral care platforms in healthcare today — built on more than ten years of clinical operating experience, 12 peer-reviewed publications, multiple randomized controlled trials, and a published 6.53:1 ROI across employer populations. We deliver lifestyle and behavioral care at scale to employers, health plans, providers, and enterprise healthcare partners — powered by an NBHWC-accredited Academy and CoachLinq, our AI behavioral discovery engine.
Lifestyle is the most powerful predictor of long-term health outcomes — and the most underused intervention in healthcare. Modifiable factors like nutrition, physical activity, sleep, and mental and emotional well-being drive the presence, progression, and prevention of chronic disease across every population we serve. inHealth's mission is to make these factors actionable at scale, turning evidence-based behavior change into measurable clinical outcomes.

By applying clinical rigor to the science of behavior change, inHealth's lifestyle and behavioral care programs deliver outcomes on the scale of pharmaceutical interventions — for the chronic conditions that drive the majority of healthcare spend. Type 2 diabetes. Hypertension. Cardiometabolic disease. Obesity. Sleep disorders. The full chronic disease landscape. More than a pill or procedure, behavioral care unlocks the durable behavior change that makes every other intervention work harder. Today, inHealth's programs are clinically validated, prescribed by providers, integrated into health plan and employer benefits, and delivered through a connected telehealth platform with continuous engagement between visits.

inHealth converges the art and science of behavior change — pairing the human expertise of board-certified Clinical Coaches with the intelligence of CoachLinq, our AI behavioral discovery engine, and the operating depth of a clinically validated platform. The result is hyper-personalized, medical-grade behavioral care delivered at scale — turning lifestyle into a clinical intervention that produces measurable, sustained outcomes.

inHealth founders Aubrey Sawyer, Michelle Alencar, and Johnnie Jenkins opened a brick-and-mortar clinic to provide health coach solutions to high-risk, hard-to-treat patients. It was one of the first to be reimbursed by insurance.
Seeing the value in their health coaching services, Sawyer, Jenkins, and Alencar wanted to widen the scope and reach more patients. For ease of convenience, they moved from a brick-and-mortar clinic to online coaching services.
In 2014, Dr. Alencar launched the two first clinical trials around the inHealth services. These clinical trials were followed by subsequent randomized controlled trials that showcased positive outcomes for weight loss and overall wellness.
With a remote coaching solution in place and outcomes tested in clinical trials, inHealth was created. As the business evolved, the goal remained the same: provide more touchpoints to fuel lifestyle changes in high-risk, harder-to-reach patients.
The inHealth team has grown to include more than 30 health coaches across the United States. The diverse background of this team has enabled inHealth to pair patients with coaches who have direct experience with their conditions.
Today, inHealth is backed by providers, health plans and medical device manufacturers as a viable solution for patient engagement and positive outcomes. These trusted partnerships are what make a better future possible for patients.
